the thrill of the deal

I wonder if the Queen of England would appreciate a good deal? Bill Gates?

One of my friends loves fashion and brand names, but she also gets excited about online deals. An outside observer might not think she appreciates the thrill of a deal as they may assume she is “above” that (whatever that means). But I got to thinking about it and wondered if there is anyone who doesn’t value a good deal. Is there a relationship between the thrill and personal income or net worth? What do you think?
